Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to announce the organization of the Advanced cadaveric course on soft tissue reconstruction and tendon transfers of Foot and Ankle which will take place on June, 14th-15th, 2024, in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Course is organized by the Scientific Society of Primary Health Care, in cooperation with the Balkan Foot and Ankle Society (BAFAS).

In recent years we witnessed a significant increase of interest among orthopaedic surgeons in Foot and Ankle surgery and that’s why many worldwide experts have been invited to share with us their knowledge and experience. The topics that will be presented in the Course will cover a great range of surgical procedures on the soft tissues of the Foot and Ankle.

The theoretical part of the Course will be held at the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation while the educational program on fresh frozen cadaveric specimens will take place at the Laboratory of Anatomy and Surgical Anatomy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

As hosts and organizers we shall spare no effort in making your participation scientifically rewarding and as meaningful as possible. We hope in your active participation.

I am Yves Tourné, past president of EFAS.
I plan to organize from September and for the next upcoming years, Foot and Ankle Master class courses mainly in the South West of France & The goals are to provide a high level standard knowledge to a small group of participants. The course will be focused on specific topics as Flat foot, ankle instability, caves foot, Achilles insertion tendinopathy, forefoot deformities, cartilage repair….
With academic presentations, clinical cases discussions and a full day dedicated to hands-on using anatomical specimen and pathological 3D printed foot and ankle models.

All the main techniques will be demonstrated and performed by the attendees. International faculty well-recognized speakers will join me regarding the topic.
